Program Description:

Universidad de Sevilla - Centro Universitario EUSA

Southern Spain – the fever dream of people around the world planning to make their escape from ordinary life. For a Catholic University student it is an ideal place to study abroad due to Seville’s vast and diverse history. The architecture is an amalgamation of Baroque, Moorish, and Roman influences. The opportunities for flamenco dancing and live music are infinite, and the local food markets make any trip for groceries more exciting.
Participants on this program take classes at the EUSA University Center, a private center founded in 1961 and affiliated with the Universidad de Sevilla.

Students enroll in 5 courses worth 30ECT (15 CatholicU credits). Courses range across a variety of subjects and are generally taught in English or Spanish. Classes generally meet twice a week for 2 hours at a time. Applicants to this program may search for available courses here by following the link and then selecting "Our Courses" under where it says "Study Abroad Programme".

Housing Accommodation & Meals

Students have the choice of living in a shared apartment or with a host family. Shared apartments are furnished and equipped with all the necessary appliances: oven, washer, refrigerator, etc. Utilities are included. Apartments are shared with other students, often with other international students. Each resident has a private bedroom within the shared apartment.

Participants choosing to live with a Spanish host family are provided with a room, all meals, and cleaning/laundry service. The family is in charge of providing meals according to the student’s specific needs. Living with a host family is a great way to become immersed in Spanish language and culture. Host families are carefully selected and regularly evaluated to ensure that students who choose this housing option have positive experiences.

Exchange Scholars

Exchange Scholar programs at The Catholic University of America provide an immersive international experience for a limited number of highly qualified students. This exclusive opportunity enables students to study at a select group of prestigious universities worldwide. Exchange partner schools are selected on the basis of mission, academic excellence, dedication to internationalization, and a commitment to research.
