Man with Boats in Buenos Aires

Arcos Learning Abroad: Argentina Summer

Introduction

Buenos Aires is one of the most beautiful cities in all of Latin America due to its vibrant culture and heavy European influence. Wander the bustling streets and grand avenues of the city, and then explore the numerous historic neighborhoods. Experience the enchanting nightlife that this cosmopolitan city is famous for: tango clubs, cafes, and world-class theaters. This is an ideal program for students interested in Spanish immersion and living in a Spanish-speaking country.

Academics & Curriculum

Students on the Arcos Buenos Aires summer program may take courses at one of three prestigious universities: University of Belgrano, ESEADE University, or Universidad Abierta Interamericana. Course options include Spanish language, healthcare, internships, and liberal arts electives taught in Spanish or English.

Accommodation & Meals

While in Buenos Aires, students live with host families. This immersive opportunity is perfect for students looking to learn about Argentinian culture and improve their Spanish language abilities. Homestays typically consist of a host mom with an apartment located just 20-30 minutes from school in a safe, middle-class neighborhood. All breakfasts and most dinners are provided by the host family, while students are responsible for lunch. This gives participants a unique opportunity to learn about Mexican food and culture, both in a traditional Argentinian home and around the city. Wifi is included, and laundry is typically done off-site at a conveniently situated laundromat.

Scholarships
