Introduction

In this program, students will have the opportunity to live in the magnificent city of Barcelona, Spain. Barcelona is located in northeast Spain on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and is one of Europe’s oldest cities. Barcelona boasts cutting edge style, cuisine, and culture, as well as some of the most amazing Modernist architecture in the world. No other city in the world looks quite like Barcelona. Experiencing it will forever change your perception of the world around you!

Academics

This program is open to all Spanish levels. Classes are available in English and Spanish. Subject areas include: art history, business, design, economics, finance, geopolitics, history, international business, international relations, literature, marketing, photography, political science, social policy and development, spanish culture, and spanish language.

Accommodations & Meals
Spanish host family (daily breakfast & dinner and 1 load of laundry per week included)
Single or double occupancy room with Spanish host family. Daily breakfast and dinner provided, as well as 1 load of laundry per week. Typically 1-2 students per homestay. Can accommodate vegetarian diets. No damage deposit. 


Shared Apartment (meals not included)
Double or single occupancy room in apartment of approximately 3-6 occupants. We cannot guarantee a single room. Apartments may be single sex or gender neutral. Meals not included; each apartment has fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. You will share your apartment with other ASA students. Requires $500 Damage Deposit.

Residence Hall without meal plan
Guaranteed single room in Garbí Student Residence with three meals per day provided by on-site cafeteria. Residence hall also includes in-suite bathroom, in-room kitchenette (with microwave, sink, and mini-fridge), a gym, and weekly cleaning. The building also provides 24-hour security. Meals can be purchased a la carte in on-site cafeteria (single lunch or dinner €11.00; single breakfast €5.50). Cafeteria can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. 

Residence Hall with full meal plan
Guaranteed single room in Garbí Student Residence with 3 meals per day provided by on-site cafeteria. Residence hall also includes in-suite bathroom, in-room kitchenette (with microwave, sink, and mini-fridge), a gym, and weekly cleaning. The building also provides 24-hour security. The cafeteria can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets.
