Université Catholique de Lille Summer

Introduction

Lille is a young and lively city in the north of France. Its location between London, Brussels, and Paris makes it easy and convenient for students looking to travel, and courses offered in both English as well as French make it an ideal option for students of all language abilities. The university itself is situated in the heart of the city, surrounded by cosmopolitan markets, stylish shops, and beautiful gardens. It boasts a strong Catholic heritage, a vibrant student body, and a wide range of sports, clubs, and cultural activities that students can partake in all year round.

Academics & Curriculum

Students on this program take two courses for a total of 12 ECTS (the equivalent of 6 US credits). In the morning, most students enroll in a French language class, but a limited number of other elective options are also available. Then in the afternoon, a wide variety of English-taught electives are available in the fields of Business, Communications, Engineering & Science, Health, Law, and Liberal Arts. Some French-taught courses are offered as well. View the course offerings here.

Accommodation & Meals

Accommodation is provided in individual rooms in secure and private student residences, which are easily accessible to campus by walking or public transit. Depending on availability, students live either in Valentine Charrondière, Campuséa, Estudines or Concordia. These residences are arranged by the Université Catholique de Lille, but are not run directly by the university.

Five group dinners are held over the course of the program. In addition, students are provided with a meal pass to be used at university dining facilities. The pass is initially loaded with 50 euro, but students can add more money online as needed. Plenty of fast food and restaurant options are also available nearby.
