Universidad de Navarra

Introduction

Universidad de Navarra is located in Pamplona, Spain, a city famous for the Running of the Bulls in July as well as the launching point for many pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. It is also located in a part of Spain referred to as Basque country, where many locals speak their own dialogue, Catalan. The University of Navarra was established in 1952 and maintains an enrollment of roughly 11,000 students. This program can be an excellent choice for many CUA students due to its wide course selection and the opportunity to study/practice Spanish without needing to be fluent before arrival.
 

Academics & Curriculum

Courses at Universidad de Navarra are offered in ECT. American students will typically enroll in 30 ECT worth of courses to earn 15 Catholic University credits. Students need at least 6 ECT in any given subject to fulfill a required course at Catholic University. Courses can be English-taught or Spanish-taught, though students seeking to take Spanish-taught courses will need to prove their language ability. Accommodation & Meals

Although Universidad Navarra does offer on-campus housing in Residence Halls, it's only available on some occasions. In circumstances where on-campus housing is not available, the International Exchange Coordinators will do everything possible to support applicants in identifying reliable off-campus accommodation opportunities.
