Program Description:

Academics & Curriculum
CYA summer courses are offered in two consecutive 4-week sessions and have been arranged so that motivated students may earn credit in complementary courses. Each course, worth 3 credits, has a particular theme and location in Greece. The program includes courses which cover the sites and monuments of ancient Athens, Anthropology/Service Learning on Paros, participation in the excavation of an archaic sanctuary on the island of Despotiko, as well as study-travel courses in Archaeology, History, and Religion that introduce students to major sites in Greece and the Aegean coast of Turkey. Accommodation & Meals

Students live in furnished, air-conditioned apartments or hotels with free wireless internet. Most apartments are within a 2-10 minute walk of campus and come with a common area, double and/or single rooms, an outdoor balcony, and an equipped kitchen.

Within walking distance are grocery stores, cafes and restaurants, bakeries, dry-cleaning shops, banks, and other amenities, including a lively, weekly outdoor "people's market" offering fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, and flowers.
