Campus Ministry Immersion Trip to Santo Domingo

Students stay in the barrio of Los Tres Brazos, East Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where the Bernadine Franciscan Sisters have served for over 20 years. Students visit an elementary school daily, prepare and deliver lessons in English as directed by the teachers and nuns, and assist with other ministries such as adult education and visits to the sick and elderly. By staying in the same community throughout the week, students have the opportunity to get to know the residents and learn from their unique life experience in urban Dominican Republic.
